Having grown up in ore and played in church street as a kid has anyone got a picture of when church streets houses were still there, apparently the funnell family lived there and there was a cobblers shop there too. MY gran and grandfather lived in greville road for many years even during the war and there garden backed onto church street, my mother has often told me tales of church street but to this day dont know why the houses were pulled down?
would love to see a pic of what the area looked like many years ago.
