Can anyone tell me what the rental market is like in and around Hastings?

Not really involved in the rental market but have noticed there seems to be quite a number of vacant flats waiting to be let, but of course that maybe cos the rents are just too high compared to the earnings available locally.

rental market cheaper than london due to non professional jobs in town ..i.e there are few offices in town which attract professional renting..

seen some flats from GBP350 upwards and top end seafront ones at GBP600 which is really good compared to over towns

i have been looing around to get price ideas.

it depends on what typ of house you are looking for. i have been looking at 2 bed houses ad flats in hastings, within walking ditance of the town centre. the rough price guide is between GBP400 and GBP450 per month for a nicer place.
