Hi Anna,

I lived in Stoked Newington on Rectory Road. I liked it there but my flat was burgaled twice, and my friend was mugged. Also I found the area quite dirty apart from Church St. Also wasn't someone stabbed in Clissold park whilst jogging.

Hastings and St leonards has the same vibe as Church St. Especially the old town,
but cheaper property! Also Alexandra park is bigger and better than Clissold park. the sourounding countryside is beautiful.

Don't worry, your making the right move, there is crime but people are friendly and welcoming. And if you lived in hackney I'm sure you can avoid it.

Hi Clive, a lad was stabbed in Rectory Road last week and another lad killed nearby a few weeks back, the kids are getting worse round here

I live just off Church Street and I love the vibe it has and if Hastings and St Leonards is like that but better that would be great!

Do not believe all you read about William Parker and Helenswood. They are the old grammar schools and have a good past reputation which they may not deserve today.

The St Leonards Academy gets good results with many of their students taking GCSEs two years early.

The best schools in the area according to Ofsted are St Richards RC just over the boarder in Bexhill and Claverham Community College in Battle.

There are also several public schools in the area which have good reputations.

hi.moved from south london 2 years ago,lived there all my life,
i live nr hte town centre towards Bohemia , it is fairly busy on a saturday and occasionally we get the odd drunk singing going past where we live, im sure some areas are a bit louder/worse -no where is perfect after all.but on hte whole its a great place.i see the castle on my way into town and the sea as i get there bit better than the towers of hackney\london.

why would anyone want to live in the cess pit that is London? its full of immigrants and gun crime,no thanks.
