I went to the "Tourist Information" centre today on my visit and would suggest that if an actual tourist went to it they would think that they had not gone to the correct place. Apart from a handful of Foyle books and a few leaflets there was nothing for a tourist to browse and get ideas for what they would like to do or see. A person is likely to see a crowd of people in the offshoot waiting room and be able to ascertain that they did not look like tourists, foreign students etc and that there was no reason for them to remain. The signs above the two main desks say Reception and something else again neither of which indicate tourist services. If flocks of people respond to the city bid they are likely to turn around and leave. It is just as well that the Tory MP did not go there as he would have come to the same conclusion.

yeah !! typical of the Corporation Apparatchik mentality of allowing places like 'The Jerwood' specifically to attract wealthier vistors whilst not caring about current issues.
"Here's yer culture but mind the Town's dirty washing we let it all hang out in Hastings" kind of attitude.

What is the situation now and are they selling tickets for the Beer and Music Festival there?
