filth

Postby markd » Wed Aug 27, 2008 2:55 pm

having lived in Hastings for 2 months now I feel quite embaressed inviting friends and family down due to the disgusting state of the place.I have never seen so much rubbish scattered about a town before,I,ve heard people blame the seagulls, dogs etc but that is just an excuse.
I have been working in Brighton [they to have seagulls] streets were clean,
I have just returned from northern France, the coastal resorts were spotless and they take a pride in there town/village,
It seems to me Hastings has a lot of very lazy very selfish residents/visitors who couldn,t give a toss about anything or anybody else and the bin men only seem to pick up the minimum,I have seen a trail of rubbish left after they had charged thru the town!
Something needs to be done to combat this epedemic,do the council have ideas?
