My Name is Richie Austin, I am a international professional magician, On 20th Feb 2009 I am producing and performing in a show at the White Rock Theatre, called 'Magic at the Rock'; The show is for all the family and is full of comedy, illusions and mind bending magic ! The show is not a big profit making production, its to raise money for a children's cancer charity called Georgies-Fund. The illness and the charity is something that is very close too my heart. In June 2007 I lost my 3 year old niece, Gemma Sharpe, to this aggressive cancer. Since our family lost Gemma, I have dedicated my time too raising money for the charity, since August 2007 we have raise Nearly GBP6000 for the charity and I have been honored in being one of the charitys Patrons. The show is especially dedicated too Gemma.
With a new year ahead I am dedicated too raising more awareness of the illness and more money for the charity. 'Magic at the Rock', is a massive project for me and although I have performed for many years in theatres and venues all over the world filling the 1000 seats of the white rock theatre - it is by far my biggest challenge yet, but with potentiality the possibility of making thousands for the charity it is most definitely worth it.
The show itself is aimed at a 'family audience' and includes the magic of award winning magician 'Oliver Tabor' plus the mind bending magic of 'Galithia Connexion', and magic and mayhem from myself plus we have Sid Slone from Cbeebies and BBC southern counties radio, helping with promotion ( also a patron of the charity) and there is a possibility he will compare on the night ( too be confirmed)
Unfortunately many people don't get too see live performances these days and would only see a 'magician' at a children's party. Magic at the Rock is a great opportunity too see live magic and illusions performed by professional Magicians plus the money raised is for a very special cause and in memory of a very special little girl.
the show will be fantasic and something hastings has not seen in 25 years !
The tickets are really cheap (from GBP6) and it would be fantastic too see the theatre filled, there is something for everyone in the show and We will Amaze and Amuze young and old a like !
Tickets avlible on line from the white rock theatre box office 01424 462288 or http://www.whiterockhastings.org.uk/
