SHARE OF FREEHOLD

Postby sandyboots » Thu Feb 09, 2006 11:07 am

I notice many flats now are a share of freehold, I have heard some very nasty stories about leasehold property, and flatowners having their flats repossessed by rogue freeholders.
Does anyone have information about share of freehold, is it much safer than leasehold.?

Share of Freehold is a very good thing especially if it involves only two or three flats,it means that as a leaseholder you are no longer constrained by outsiders, repairs and improvements can be done as and when is suits all the flat owners and not just when it suits an outside freeholder.Costs can also be controlled to your advantage.
