It has to be Maggies , above the fishmarket . Perfection. You will probably need to book. I don't think they are open on Sundays. They close quite early too.

The Blue Dolphin in the old town is my best fish and chip shop.
The Seagull is also a good restaurant.

I'm with Gemma, The Blue Dolphin is the best and has been for years.

Not sure of the name of the fish and chip shop, but is the one down by Harveys in St Leonards, near the Bo Peep pub_ _ _.

THIS MUST BE THE SLOWEST CHIP SHOP IN THE WORLD !!!!!

i know we like fresh cooked, but i spent over 45 mins in there twice now, trying to get food_ _ _. went past it a few weeks ago and some poor soul had got his sleeping bag out waiting for his tea_ _ _

never seen anything like it, a deffo a miss from me!!!

I agree with Gemma, the best fish and chips
is at the Blue Dolphin in the Old Town.
Good waitress service, nice atmosphere.

I remember quite a few years back when I was about 9/10 Bruno's down South Terrace used to do top fish and chips, I don't know if this is still the case as i'm hardly ever down that way.

I am from Canada and visited the Blue Dolphin when visiting about a year ago. I was only in Hastings 3 days. Had chips at the Blue Dolphin twice. On the way to the airport , I was craving Blue Dolphin chips again, regrettably, it was too early in the morning and they weren't open  . Well, I am on my way back to Hastings in a month or so and I told my friend that I expect to drive straight from the airport to the blue dolphin :w00t: !!
