I think I may have mentioned this once already but never mind...
There is a workshop for people with bikes that need repairing - or just some general advice.
It is situated below the statue of Queen Victoria at Warrior Square, St. Leo's., on the lower promenade, Wednesday evenings 6-8pm.
You can take your own 'wonky bike along or choose a bike there (from donated stock) that you want to have repaired.
The idea is that you will be expected to learn quickly and help out in the repair work, although they don't expect too much in all reality.
It's a bit like intensive care for bikes, every part that does not work will be tested, with all clear faults being pointed out and replaced very quickly, you have to learn 'on the hop' and they don't take prisoners or pull any punches, you are expected to make a donation, either cash or an old bike as 'payment'.
If they can't fix the bike in one session it will be labelled and stored until the following week.
For anyone who wants to know more about the right sort of bike, built to suit or repaired on the spot this is an exciting and amazing workshop.
