Pizza Express - My first and only visit

Hi there !!
Extra charges from GBP8.90p to GBP10.15 p for a Pizza
I visited with a friend for the 1'st time and ordered two "Fiorentino" pizza's after looking at the menu briefly.
After placing our order the waiter asked if we would like a different version called "Romano" - we asked the difference - he said they were exactly the same pizza except with a thinner base which was more crispy than the "Fiorentino"
We chose the thinner "Romano"
On asking for the bill we were surprised to be charged GBP1.25p extra each pizza and asked why.
Then we were told as it was thinner it must be bigger and therefore contained more topping.
I was not happy and returned later to ask the manager why the price was more and we were not informed of this extra charge by the waiter.
He said the extra price was itemised at the bottom of the menu - I said it was not pointed out to me and I did not go looking for all the extra charges as i did not expect one and if that was the case I wouldn't be visiting the restaurant again as I felt this was not good practise.
I said I would complain online
The manager just looked at me and said nothing !!

I have heard quite a few similar complaints about this restaurant Richard_ _ _I dont think i will be going there myslef now .

I always feel pizza's are a rip off anyway _ _ _.oh bring back Pedros !!!! Now that was a great Pizza place !!! Good staff great food and good value for money . Happy memorys of the late 80's early 90's there

I always use vouchers for Pizza Express they usually have a buy one pizza get one free deal on weekdays. Money Saving Expert is where I usually get them. Here's a link.
