Parking

We just moved to St Leonards in June, so pretty new to the area. We just got a car on Thursday and found it incredibly hard today to park near the Old Town in Hastings. Is there anywhere closer than the seafront car parks? All the on road parking seemed to be for permit holders only. Maybe we just didn't look hard enough? Oh, also, if you see someone in a blue Rover Metro looking slightly confused about the rules of the road, I apologize, that's me, I'm American and am trying to unlearn all of my driving knowledge and learn your people's crazy left side of the road and round-about stuff. Forgive me.

Hi Ashley - I would forget parking in the Old Town, it's notoriously hard to find a space. I would always walk to the old town from st leonards as it's not too far along the seafront. Think I may have seen the blue rover metro today, driver scratching head and frowning
