How is it that religion manages to attract so many mentally unstable younger people who can then be radicalised by manipulative 'older' people?

Religion in general has a long history of manipulation. It's as if we have a deep-rooted desire to abdicate responsibility for our own actions and firmly place that responsibility upon the shoulders of some god or other. In a way, it's quite a comforting mind set. Those who are mentally unstable to start with are easily sucked-in.

Au contraire, it would have bestowed upon them the label 'martyrs', which is precisely what they wanted. So technically it's an infringement of their human rights not to oblige!! :erm: :laugh:

How anyone can say that Islam is a peaceful religion is beyond me,everywhere in the Islamic world there are bombings,killing of innocent people and rape and pillage,many of the immigrants to come here do so to escape this and who can blame them,Winston Churchill once said the truth about Islam and he is right now as he was then,its a evil cult and way of living.

How anyone can say that Islam is a peaceful religion is beyond me,everywhere in the Islamic world there are bombings,killing of innocent people and rape and pillage,many of the immigrants to come here do so to escape this and who can blame them,Winston Churchill once said the truth about Islam and he is right now as he was then,its a evil cult and way of living.

I believe that Islam in its purest form is a peaceful religion, but like all religions it attracts like moths to a flame everyone from simpletons, through wackos and extremists, to radical 'mad dogs'. This is what makes 'religion' so dangerous.

Muslims have been fighting amongst themselves from the start of Islam to the present day which is not exactly a recipe for the proof of a pudding worth eating.
(other religions are likewise not without sinners)

And look at the slavery, it makes me laugh at the way middle-class intellectual do-gooders here bleat on about how terrible we were during the years of slavery and the film makers showing up events etcetera.
Muslims carried out slavery (along with African traders) on a truly enormous scale and yet do we here about this here ?
No, instead we only hear about what the British (or Americans have done) and how our colonial past was evil in that respect and we continue to beat ourselves up about it.
Yes ! we did do some bad things but lets hear a balanced picture about the Arab traders and African countries who did (and still do) operate slavery without any opposition or understanding of its history.
