Looking To Move To Hastings / St Leonards

Postby Suffrajet » Tue Jan 02, 2007 6:39 pm

Hi Everyone

I have a large 2 bed house in Wrexham, North Wales (nicely decorated and tidy, enclosed gardens) and am looking to move to the Hastings or St Leonards on Sea area.

If anyone has a 2 bed property (house or ground floor flat) with a garden and would be interested in exchanging, then please get in touch.

Thank you

Suff

We are looking to move to St leonards/hastings in the near future but since reading the notice boards are a bit wary. Have also hear there a are lot of immigrants and a drug problem, but to be fair that is the same as many areas. Can anybody let me know their honest opinion and also which are the best schools (prinary and secondary. It cant be that bad!!

Thank you :)

Caz, it really isn't that bad!! Take a look at some of the mails from people who live in the Town, their enthusiasm and love of Hastings and St Leonards must tell you another story!
I've lived here since I was 8. We left South London because of the crime (this was mid 80's). Yes, Hastings has had it's share of problems. But, there are so many projects going on to improve the Town.
Depending on your budget there are some really super areas in which to live. Have you looked at any properties yet?

hi felicity thanks for you message. Very reassuring. We live near Croydon and most people know that that is not a good area. I am looking for a better way of life for my family. Have not looked at any properties as yet. We are going to travel down in half term and get a feel for the place. originally we were thinking of Brighton but is far too expensive and whilst looking on property websites houses for st leonards came up and could not believe what we could get for our money. It might not be quite yet as my daughter is going into year 5 this year and might wait until she leaves primary as she will be moving school anyway as does my youngest start school the same time. Really appreciate your response. Budget is up to GBP300K. could you recommend best areas.

Cheers

Have a look at the following local property sites : Rush Witt and Wilson; Just Property; and John Bray and sons. You're budget is huge for this town, you could get an amazing place!!! Definitely look at John Brays site. I would recommend Old Town Hastings, or the area of St Leonards called Burtons St Leonards. John Bray has some incredible properties on his site at the mo.
If you see anywhere you like and want an honest opinion about the location etc, proximity to schools and the like, jot me a word on this site.
Good luck in your search and look forwarde to hearing from you again.

Hi I have a large ground floor three bedroom flat in camberwell south london
My flat is in a quiet leafy area with a large green communal garden area and very nice neighbours. local shops, transport and schools are all within a short distance.

I am looking for a three or four bedroomed house or flat with a garden in hastings preferably close to secondary schools.

Please get in touch
