S, if you are still listening try searching around for local employers see what they have on offer and if that type of work suits you.
It is probably best to broaden your search to East / West Sussex and Kent.

Should I move ?
Should I move ?
If you decide against Hastings, Bexhill isn't really like a cemetary. We decided to buy a house in Bexhill rather than Hastings in the end, as Hastings seems to have changed for the worse since I lived there (about 15 yrs ago). and it's really peaceful and safe for kids.
I'm not slagging Hastings off (it's already got enough people ready to do that I think!) but if you want a nice quiet, family place then I'd choose Bexhill. If you want a faster pace of life, and don't mind all the down and outs who seem to have flocked to the town in recent years, then Hastings would be better.

But, having done more post visit web searches.. some of the things I've read are kind of putting me off. I don't mind 'an edge' to a town.. in fact prefer it ( liked Bmouth but prob too posh and pricey for me). Eastbourne would probably be 'easier'.. but it didn't grab me like Hastings. It's work that bothers me.. does Hastings need another artist in education ? (I work with all ages and abilities ). I'm hard working , talented , frank and modest in equal measure .. realistic !

Re: Should I move ?
I work in Bexhill and it is full of old people. Like most places it has it's nice areas and some not so nice. Have you been to Sidley fiji 5007? Not to mention the two murders and the teenager who was assaulted on the seafront and is still in critical condition, in the past two years.
I find a lot of people from Bexhill are snobby about Hastings and St Leonards but I'd go for Hastings every time!

Re: Should I move ?
Hi,
I have been to Sidley and it's not the best, but I never have reason to go there really.
I know there are bad things that happen everywhere but in general I think Bexhill is probably one of the safest places around.
I used to be the same as you and absolutely love Hastings, but since moving away from London to St Leonards, I realised lots of the things I was pleased to leave behind in London are now all around in Hastings in abundance.
It just seems to me that since I've been away and returned, there are billions of dodgy families who seem to have flocked to the town with their pitbulls.
maybe it's also partly because I'm no longer young free and single and now want different things from life than I did when I lived in Hastings before.
I still think Hastings is a good place but I think it depends what you're looking for.

Re: Should I move ?
I agree there are too many ugly pitbulls (with their balls still on) and walked about by kids who seem to find them a status symbol.
However, I do not like tiny little dogs not much bigger than a rat either
Does Bexhill have no problems youths - or is it a matter (as so often happens) of the bad kids from HSL travelling to Bexhill for a bit of trouble?
I believe the seagulls don't make a noise in Bexhill?
I'm glad to hear them in Hastings when I've been away_ _ _

Re: Should I move ?
Hi,
I'm sure there are problem youths in Bexhill too - I'm not trying to say it's perfect, I just find it more of a peaceful place which people you probably wouldn't choose to live nextdoor to haven't flocked to over the years.
No, the seagulls aren't allowed in Bexhill if they make a noise.
