Warrior Square

Hi, I read some comments from several years ago which suggested this might be a problem area, particularly at night. Is this still the case as I have seen some flats I might view? I have a young daughter who will stay with me on weekends so I need somewhere unthreatening.
Any thoughts much appreciated.

The area around Warrior square has improved greatly over the last few year. We heard lots of scare stories about drug deals and drunks hanging around on the sea front and warrior square. We've been living in St Leonards for two years and have only ever seen the occasional person with a can sitting on the sea front. They usually seem to be moved on pretty quickly by the police. I'm not someone who's out a lot at night but when I have been. It's seemed very similar to any other town on a Friday night.

The problem with Warrior square is there are lots of flats so more chance of having a problem with your neighbours. How good your neighbours are is a bit of a lottery. If you like a flat why not knock on a neighbours door and ask them what it's like living there. I've found Hastings and St Leonards to be a very friendly town.

Warrior Sq is undergoing large scale regeneration so the flats are a mixed bag of social housing and private ownership.

I live just off the square and I have never been threatened once. I cannot speak for everyone but I think the area has lots going for it.

It's very affordable. Architecturally the square itself is stunning and you have a green space and the beach right on your doorstop.

I also think the quality of the beach in StL is better than Hastings -quieter and cleaner and the promenade is more residential.

I'm looking at a couple of places near Warrior Square on Monday, North Street, Silchester Road, any comments on these drwatson?

Also where does St Leonards end, Hastings begin??

Roughly speaking the pier is the dividing line between Hastings and St Leonards

The dividing line roughly goes from the pier to the Conquest hospital. To the left is St Leonards and to the right is Hastings.

Warrior Square is a lot better these days than it's poor reputation would have you believe. North Street is okay too (my sister lived there for several years) but I would personally avoid Silchester.

_ _ _I hope I am not being pedantic but there are both 'postal' and civic 'town' boundaries in existence.
"The town boundary is opposite Market Street and can indeed be followed inland quite easily with distinctly different architecture to the east and west of the boundary and there are iron boundary markers for the avoidance of doubt."
