hi Michael
We were in Hastings yesterday looking at flats to buy on the sea front. We want a place with sea view for when we come back to UK as a base after i retire and we move abroad in a few years time. We saw a few west of the pier in Eversfield Place, St Leonards before Warrior Square.
Trip from Gatwick by train a bit looong! Estate agents were saying that Warrior Sq has vastly improved as London/Surrey types buy it up. True?
What is sea front like at night? I lived in Guernsey for a while in St Peter Port so I know the seagull and saturday night drinking issues.
Are there better areas than the front with the same unobstructed views? West Hill Park Road maybe?
Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

Not really able to help with those questions, the town centre can be a bit lively on a weekend night, we prefer to go out in the old town, Clive Vale would be worth investigating, it's generally nice with a good mix of properties in the area, some would have good views to.

Yes lots of people are moving down from London ans some of them are moving to Warrior Square which has vastly improved over the last few years.

I live on Albany Road, St Leonards and we have amazing views down to Bexhill and over to Beachy head. So you could try looking further up the hill. I imagine top of Pevensey Road etc also have good very views.

Just to give you an idea this is the view we have http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for ... 26118.html

Some of the houses on West Hill Road have great views.

We really like it. It's 10- 15 mins walk into town and to the station and is nice and quiet. It's a lovely road. There are houses converted into flats at one end of the road and the other end are all quite large houses.
