West Street, Old Town

What is West Street in the old town like to live in?

West street is used as a service road for shops which back onto both sides, George Street and the seafront. Very narrow with the odd large waste bin. Absolutely no parking and quite often blocked by vehicles doing deliveries.

It's not the best street but it is in the old town so you'll have all the benefits of living in that area. If you like Pubs, curious shops, the fantastic atmosphere and the old architecture. I personally love the old town and would happily live there. But, as I said, there are better roads.

More worried about trouble spilling over from George st. Am I going yo find people having fights or sex in the street on a Friday or Sat night? How noisy is it.

That might occasionally be a problem although not many pedestrians use it. They usually walk along George Street or straight across West street by the Anchor to the sea front.
