Re: Transport
Hi Harry
depends on how you travel, from london by car you go need to drive on the m25 to the a21 link up and follow that all the way into hastings ,all sign posted
or by train from london bridge station that brings you into hastings train station right in main town
once your here there is ample bus routes or cabs
depending on where you need to get to..
hope this is what your question meant !!

Re: Transport
Hi Tracy,
I've realised that i wasn't concrete enough when i wrote first. What i meant was how to arrive to hastings by public transport from london. Well, i will explain the situation: Soon (probably next month) I will visit England and i've heard that Hastings is worth visiting due to its history, so i'm thinking to expend there two or three days but i don't know how to arrive from London or even better, directly from the airport (not sure but probably i'll arrive to Luton but still there's the little possibility of Gatwich).
So, i would like to know if there are any buses or trains that could interest me.
(i'll appreciate any related web to plan asap my journey)
See you soon

Re: Transport
Hi Harry
There will be frequent trains to London from both airports. Once in London you need to make your way via the underground to Victoria station or Charring Cross station, both of which have frequent trains to Hastings.
Hope this helps

Re: Transport
Please can someone help locate a road name where the West Marina Station was in St Leonards.
local buses
Hi, I'm taking some students to visit Hastings in July. Most students are under 15. Could someone please provide information regarding bus routes and fares? Thanks.

I remember seeing the remains of a station platform behind the MFI building in St Leonards. Im not sure if this is what you mean ? The nearest road would be the bottom end of I think West Hill Road?

Re: Transport
I have written a bit about West Marina Station in the History section of the site. Click Local History on the navigation and go to Railways and Stations. Some info for you there. West Hill Road is to one side of where the platforms can still be seen so not sure if the station's actual address would be this or not. It may have had it's own access road like a Station Approach or something.
